What is Duet?
Duet is an online philanthropic platform that enables donors to provide meaningful aid to vulnerable families in a more dignified, efficient, and personal way. Families request the exact items they need to rebuild their lives, and donors pay for those items on their behalf. We currently provide support to refugee families in Greece, and are actively expanding for COVID-19 relief in LA.
We are a group of over 20 recent graduates and students, largely from USC and other California colleges. We have been operating since March 2019. Since then, we have facilitated over $60,000 in donations and built a donor community of over 500 members.
Duet has been featured in Viterbi News and Marshall News.
Duet is currently registered as a nonprofit, and is pending 501(c)(3) status.
Duet is looking for a self-motivated and collaborative CMO to join our executive team and lead the marketing department. You will be responsible for expanding Duet’s reach, messaging, and brand recognition, whilst working collaboratively with the other heads of department. We seek a highly-motivated individual who can step into the role with initiative, ownership, and organization and has a proven track record of leadership and marketing experience. You will be a key leader within Duet and will play a central role in bringing more awareness to an agile nonprofit organization that is serious about using technology for social good.
You will be the first CMO and will be charged with creating a new division of Duet and strengthening our success in attracting an engaged and attentive audience. You will have a large impact on the organization’s present and future.
The expected time commitment is 15-20 hours per week.

Duet offers an opportunity to improve real lives, solve hard problems, and to make the world a smaller, friendlier place. You will gain firsthand experience growing an organization through the power of marketing, while being a part of a supportive and engaged team of fellow changemakers who are determined to grow this into a sustainable long-term venture. (We are planning to start fundraising in earnest over the coming months, or as soon as we have our 501(c)(3) certification).
Join us in rebuilding lives, together.
